Last Sunday we ran out to run errands. It was extremely cold and the winds were gusting to about 50mph. All is fine until we get home and find our front door wide open. Earlier in the winter I had weatherproofed the front door (since we aren't replacing it until spring). Well apparently I forgot to lock the door after walking Trixie and the wind blew it open. We know it was open for at least 40 minutes (we got a call from our neighbor) but aren't sure if it was open longer. Apparently Trixie either ventured outside or was looking outside because she was cold when we got home even though the house was still warm.
doh!... I'll be locking the door from now on ;-)
