We were going outside in the snow and Jeff went to get his snow boots. (he only wears them when there is a lot of snow) He has always left them on the top shelf in the garage (in our our current and old house)
He sticks his foot in and realizes there is something inside. He shakes it out and some bird seed comes out... hmmm.....
He sticks his foot in again, and again he realizes there is something in there. This time he slams his boot against the ground and about a cup of birdseed comes out. He pulls out his insole and realizes there is a nest in his boot.
Since we haven't had much snow the last few years, he hasn't worn the boots. After some time we realize that there must have been a mouse in his boot in our townhouse. We don't store the birdseed in the garage in this house so we don't think there is anyway that a mouse could have gotten to it in this house.

Hey Michelle! Love the blog. Kevin also had a visitor in his boot...and that was 2 weeks ago in our basement. We've been hearing scratching noises in one of our walls. Needless to say, we now have about 4 mouse traps in our basement. Little buggers! Laurel
